Eeezy Does It
Yesterday, I watched an amazing live news story. Pilot Scott Burke did a perfect landing at Los Angeles International Airport. He apologized for landing 6" off center.
JetBlue Flight 292 took off from Burbank's Bob Hope Airport at 3:17 pm. It had a crew of six and 139 passengers. The passengers watched live satellite tv coverage of their own drama.
The front wheels were turned sideways, but the gear did not collapse. The Airbus 320 landed safely at 6:19 pm.

Sneeezy
Some of us have always had allergies. In the past three years, I have settled on products like Actifed or "Compare to Actifed" like Longs Cold & Allergy tablets. I used to find them at the local Grocery Outlet, a place to find cheeep groceries and other things.
That was before the product was misused and became an ingredient for illicit drugs. Now I have to go to the pharmacy section of Longs, hat in hand, and humbly request a package of 48 pills. Last week was my first experience in buying a pack.
(1) Wait in line.
(2) New person finally finds my requested item.
(3) Give new person coupon for 50-cents off Long's brand item.
(4) New person does not compute... He's used to bar codes & scanning.
(5) He gets "help" from other pharmacy employee.
(6) Item now costs $1.00 more than normal.
(7) New person calls store manager on the loud speaker.
(8) Manager arrives.
(9) Manager instructs New person to lift the phone & say "Thank You" over the loud speaker.
(10) Manager reaches over and corrects problem--from my side of the cash register.
Then I was allowed to take my 48 pills home legally. I'm sure glad I'm not using the pills to make illicit drugs--though I somewhat understand why some want illicit drugs!
